You weave volatile flame into crystalline form, shaping a radiant
barrier that flares between you and harm. Fireshield absorbs incoming
fire damage up to an amount based on your spell’s strength—roughly your
casting level (L1) plus a dice roll of L1 / 4dL1 (e.g. L1 = 20, 20 +
5d20). Each strike reduces the shield’s integrity until it collapses in
a burst of heat. While it endures, fiery attacks are devoured, their
power blunted before they can touch you
