Edge represents the pinnacle of a rogue's mastery in combat, a dynamic resource
that builds during encounters and can be spent to execute powerful maneuvers or
defensive tactics. By reading the ebb and flow of battle, rogues gain Edge
through skillful strikes and tactical actions, preparing them to exploit any
opportunity.

How Edge Works
Edge is a temporary resource built during combat and displayed in your
character's status:

Gaining Edge: Edge is generated by certain rogue abilities, such as:
   - Backstab: +1 to +3 Edge, scaling with the power of the strike.
   - Distract: +1 Edge on a successful use.
   - Trip: +1 Edge when the enemy fails their reflex save.
   - Poison Procs: +1 Edge when your poisoned weapon successfully inflicts
   an opponent.

Losing Edge: Edge is encounter-specific and decays over time. You lose 1 Edge
every 3 seconds when out of combat.

Spending Edge
Edge can be spent to execute high-impact abilities. Examples include:
   - Disengage (4 Edge): Instantly escape combat without failure.
   - Exploit Weakness (5 Edge): A precision strike dealing expertise-scaled
    damage.
   - Evade (7 Edge): Temporarily immune to all incoming damage.

Some abilities are marked as Flex, meaning their Edge cost scales dynamically
based on the amount of Edge you have available. These abilities consume a
base amount of Edge but can scale up if your total Edge is a multiple of the
base cost, enhancing their effect.

For example, consider Neural Spike, which costs 3 Edge (Flex).

   - At baseline, it consumes 3 Edge and triggers its standard effect.
   - If you have 4 or 5 Edge, it will still consume only 3 and perform its
     base effect.
   - If you have 6 Edge (as 6 is a multiple of 3), it will consume all 6
Edge and activate its upgraded effect.

This system allows for flexibility in how you manage your Edge, rewarding
preparation and precise timing.

These abilities represent only the beginning of how rogues can harness Edge.
Future abilities may expand your options even further.

Tracking Edge
   - In Prompt: Add Edge to your prompt using the ~r symbol in the Prompt command.
Example: prompt ~hH ~mM ~rE> displays your Edge as E in the prompt.
   - In Train: Review your current Edge in the Train menu.
