   It is sometimes handy to be able to paste multi-line blocks of text into
the mud as a single command.

   Gather drops you into an editor, the contents of which will start out as
the text you put after the command, if any.  When you exit the editor, any
carriage returns in the text will be replaced with spaces, and the whole
thing will be run as a single command.
