Ascension

A Fated life holds ten remorts, and the eleventh prayer ascends: the
loom draws every thread of you taut and reweaves you from nothing. You
will be warned when your tenth bind completes, and asked to confirm at
the altar - declining is simply "not yet".

Ascension banks woven essence immediately (death-proof) at the net
Tension this climb was played at, records that Tension toward your
season's best, and ends the life as if newly created.

What you keep: every bound thread - ascension never touches the pool.
Everything that belongs to your account (essence, upgrades, remembrances,
achievements) was never at stake.

What you lose: this life - its level, renown, gear, and the offering.

There is no way to remort past the summit. A character parked at
remort ten may keep playing, but earns no essence beyond one climb's
worth and holds no rank - while every death returns them to the same
floor an ascender starts from.
